Construction employers and their workers can now learn virtually
everything they need to know about safety without turning a single
page.
OSHA's lnternet home page now features the Construction Resource
Manual, a compendium of all construction standards and corresponding
general-industry standards and agency interpretations. By clicking
on highlighted subsection headings, users are immediately linked
to a portable document format version of the OSHA standards, which
they can then print out or read on-screen.
The manual includes a listing of the most-frequently violated OSHA
standards in the construction industry. The computerized manual can
also direct you to other resources. It lists addresses and phone
numbers for OSHA regional, area and stateplan offices and for the
agency's consultation services.
The manual is on OSHA's homepage under the "What's New" section
at http://www.osha.gov/. It is also available on CD-ROM for $79
from the Government Printing Office, stock no. 729-Ol3-00000-5.
