The Health Care Section of the National Safety Council's Business and
Industry Division will hold a seminar and section meeting from May 14-17
in Carlsbad Caverns, N.M., at the Carlsbad Convention Center.
The seminar will be held on May l5-l6. Programming for these dates
includes violence in healthcare, radiation safety, air quality in
healthcare and the benefits of safety audits.
In addition to the caverns, the area boasts one of the seven natural
wonders of the world, the Living Desert state park. Safety professionals
might also be interested in visiting the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant
--the first facility designed to store our nation's transuranic Waste
at 2,l50 feet underground.
