The National Safety Council has teamed up with Northeast Iowa
Community College to build the National Education Center for
Agricultural Safety near Dubuque, Iowa. The center will offer training
to anyone concerned about agricultural safety and health. Its goal is to
help reduce the 1,200 deaths and 120,000 disabling injuries that occur
on farms each year. Participants will receive hands - on training to
learn how to prevent tractor rollovers, farm - equipment entanglements,
pesticide spills and other farm mishaps. For more information or to
