Launch the Four Bans Campaign for Foreign Workers' Safety 2025.03.31
Author : KOSHA
The Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Kim Moon Soo) and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (President Ahn Jong Ju) announced the launch of a nationwide Four Bans Campaign to ensure the safety of foreign workers and smallsized workplaces, starting September 25. This campaign emphasizes four essential safety principles designed to prevent common risks faced by foreign workers. The safety principles are: ① Do not disable safety devices, ② Do not operate unfamiliar machines, ③ Do not work without PPE, ④ Do not perform maintenance on operating machines. These principles will be illustrated in pictograms for easy understanding, available in 16 languages, excluding Korean. Safety Culture Promotion Teams in 39 regions across the country will distribute placards, posters, and stickers, focusing on shipbuilding areas and small workplaces with many foreign workers to spread the campaign. "The Four Bans Campaign Challenge" will also be organized to attract public attention, along with promotions at local festivals, events for foreign workers, and through social media and other media outlets. Further details about the Four Bans Campaign will continue to be shared via the Safety Promotion Team's website (www.kosha.or.kr/safety1team).
