MOEL and Affiliated Organizations Get Ready for Transfer to Ulsan | 2011.10.25 | ||

October, 2011 The customer service center of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), and the MOEL’s three affiliated organizations ? Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service (Kcomwel), and Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDKorea) ? are soon to be transferred to The groundbreaking ceremony announcing the official launch of the Ulsan Innocity was held on September 29 at the new site of the offices in Ujeong-dong, Jung-gu in The ceremony was attended by Ministry Lee, Chae-Pil of Employment and Labor, the heads of three affiliated agencies, Mayor Bak, Maeng-Woo of Ulsan Metropolitan City, lawmakers Jeong, Gab-Yoon, Kang, Kil-Bu, and Kang, Seong-Cheon, Superintendent Kim, Pok-Man of Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education, Ward Chief Park, Sung-Min of Jung-gu, Ulsan, and some 300 persons. Minister Lee, Chae-Pil said, “the construction of Innocity is a national construction project promoting a balanced regional growth. It is a strategy for mutual development, enhancing the competitiveness of each region, and the nation as a whole. Our Ministry will take the charge in the construction of Ulsan Innocity.” “The transfer of the MOEL’s affiliated agencies will reinvent The affiliated agencies being transferred to Ulsan Innocity are the customer service center of the MOEL, KOSHA, Kcomwel, and HRDKorea. The customer service center of the MOEL will be the first to move to The office building where the four organizations will be located has underground floor and three to 10 floors above to ground. The total area of land is 142,977㎥, with the total floor area of 88,699㎥. The new office is a green building, which is environmentally friendly, and energy efficient. It will use new and renewable energy sources like the solar power, energy efficient building materials, and recycle and reuse rain water. |
