□ Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute (OSHRI, Director ○ The Working Conditions Survey (Approval No. 380002) of the National Statistics Office has been held every three years since the first one held in □ Working conditions survey examines the level of and changes in the overall working conditions in South Korea through 300 questionnaires inquiring about △ working hours △ job prospect △ exposure to physical and mental risk factors △ social conditions including violence and discrimination △ labor intensity technology △ education △ work-life balance that influence the healthy life of workers. ○ The result of working conditions survey is used as the basic data for establishing and researching occupational safety and health policies. For we use the same questionnaire as the European Union(EU)’s Working Conditions Survey*, it is possible to compare the level of working conditions. * European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS) is conducted by Eurofound under EU. The 6th survey was conducted in 2016 and it is conducted in 35 countries including 28 members of EU, Norway, and Switzerland. □ Statistical data related with working conditions survey can be viewed through KOSHA homepage. Working conditions survey provides important data for the government’s policies for labor policies occupational safety and health policies,” said Director General Kim of OSHRI. ○ “We need full cooperation from those who are selected for the survey in order to establish right policies based on the survey of working conditions and enhance the quality of our living”, asking the whole nation for their support and cooperation. |
